A note from our founder:

“I founded Catalyst in 2024 as a solution to issues I repeatedly saw throughout my career. Companies were constantly trying to align their staffing to meet ever-changing needs. The renewables industry is extremely volatile. A project that was a certainty last week, is cancelled the next. A project that was supposed to wrap up in the summer, stretches into the winter. In these cases, a team was either left with not enough work or too much. Catalyst is my way to ease the unknown.”

How It Started

Cass started Catalyst in 2024 after working in the industry for over 18 years. After supporting EPCs, Consultants, IPPs, and Developers from the field, and later leading her own departments, she noticed the same recurring issues:

  • The need for immediate help without warning

  • Project volatility making full-time hiring difficult

  • Schedule volatility driving huge increases and decreases in workload

  • Lack of renewable expertise

With a record of having to pivot and “learn on the fly,” Cass found a niche in filling in these gaps. From there, she gathered a group of experts to form Catalyst with the same “fixer” mindset to help solve your project challenges.

Our Approach

Catalyst was created to fix:

  • Project volatility causing huge increases/decreases in workload and making full-time hiring difficult

    Not all work is full-time, and you shouldn’t be billed as such. Our consultants come from years of industry experience and can jump in on a part-time basis to help when a project is at its peak (or at its end), and your team needs additional support. This can be when a project is kicking off and you don’t have a full time PM available or when a project is closing out and you need to dedicate your PM to the next one. This ensures you’re not overpaying, and the flexibility of part time work helps us attract top talent. We know that potential renewable projects are a go one day and axed the next. We can help elevate your staffing concerns by providing support when you need it, while you need it.

    Our team has over 15 GWs of Wind, Solar, BESS experience along with the interconnecting High Voltage. We have executed projects across the US, ranging from 20 MWs to 2 GWs in size. All of our experts have over a decade of renewable experience and understand the major players, challenges, and associated market trends.
